Namaste – one of the meaning.

Namaste is a way of greeting to a person just like good morning, sayonara etc. Both the hands joined to make one to let the greeter remember that the person to whom he is greeting is one but still it is neither one nor two but it is beyond both ie salute to the Godliness in the other. Whenever two people, animals or flowers involve in sex then the invisible third automatically come into existence to give new life. Joining of two hands is a symbol of representing the third invisible that is present in the other also.

This is real definition of achieving enlightenment or Jesus-Consciousness or Buddha-Consciousness etc etc.

When a person who has not attained it greet with namaste to an enlightened one means master then the real master will also responds to him with namaste.

This namaste has very deep meaning because the master or enlightened one is also paying respect to the other as he knows that he is just a few step behind only and then he will also become enlightened. Once enlightened the time cease to happen for both and both will be on same platform. So it is just a matter of time for the disciple that he is standing at this platform and the time cease to exist for the enlightened master, so the master too is welcoming him now as an enlightened one.

This was a tradition in India but now remained only in Zen monasteries.

Each hand represent one eye. So when a person stops seeing world from two eyes and begins looking at world like a child but this time from third eye. Child’s innocence can be perverted in future but innocence of the third eye is pure and permanent or more accurately eternal, as it already passed through the experiences of life. This third eye is located at centre of both and is able to see inside the body or the other. This is called common sense or intuition or creativity if not fully developed but its presence in one shows that the person is on edge.

This third eye can be activated using both the eyes but it functions neither like both nor like one but beyond both. It is called Divya-Drishti by Krishna in the Geeta. Looking the world from these eye is such a bliss, ananda, that those experienced it expressed that the world disappears for them. The world is Maya or just a drama in their words. The person starts living in nature and enjoying the nature, its beauty, animals, flowers etc to its deepest meanings. Abundance in everything like love is his message. Since in nature tree, animals or creatures are given capacity to produces abundant seeds just for one tree or flower or fruit to nurture to its best. His love is such that for one person to get enlightened he produces millions, out of abundant love he takes no chance! it seems.

Translated from Hindi “

पलटू दोउ कर जोरिकै गुरु संतन को सेव।

If you have to serve, then serve a saint, or a Sadguru! With both hands folded there, by totally surrendering to him….

This Namaskar or Namaste, which is done in India by folding two hands, is a symbol that both heart and mind are joined in it. Both body and mind got involved in this. Both active and passive were included in this. In this both the woman within you and the man within you have joined. This means to serve by joining both the hands, which is symbolic way of communicating that: duality is united, duality is united and advaita is formed. This Indian way of greeting is very meaningful, you have to become one; Do not remain two. Being united like this, with one feeling, with one devotion, with undistracted attention and devotion — serve a Guru, a saint. –

Disciples of Jesus left him alone in last minutes but Osho’s disciples remained with him till he left his body willingly after working, till last day, for all of us to get enlightened. Jesus tried hard till last minute, before being caught, to teach meditation to his disciples. As per Saint John’s Gospel:- Jesus used word ‘Sit’ to transfer his meditative energy to them and went on to pray God, but on returning he found them sleeping. He tried two times again but in vain.

Even today Zen people use word ‘Sit’ for meditation in their saying ‘Sit silently, do nothing, season comes and the grass grows by itself green’.
