What we are doing?

To be born as a human being is greatest gift, as God chose to manifest in this form at present. All around us and everything around us is his manifestation at present in different forms. Can we be given birth by ourselves? Can we die naturally as per our wish? Same is with everything around us, we are just changing form of available natural resources or arranging things in a particular order and taking its credit as its Owner, Discoverer etc etc.

This is the beginning of rise of ego in human being. Once we understand its cause, then we can get rid of it, as it is the very cause of misery in our life. This existence is wast and infinite and that too expanding every second. How a person can bring any change? It is its nature to keep changeping, we are just like a pen, we used to write, of God through whom he is giving colours in life at present. Or we are just a puppet or we are just like an actor, at present, in a film through whom the greatest director is directing its drama of the eternal world. As soon as our role is over, we will be called again to its backstage. This entering, rise of ego in adolecent age. And leaving the stage happens as soon as we realise that it is just a role, as actor, that we are playing and we are not contributor etc etc, then in that moment the ego vanishes with it vanishes fear of death because fear of death belongs to ego only. Or with life and death, if not understood the nature of ego in this life but then fear of death persists till death. Just by understanding it, you are away from it. Then there is no death as such of yourself. Just leaving this world like leaving the stage and going to backstage to prepare for another role. Then even your head is cut, you can see it falling.

When we believe ourself as our ego, and keep nurturing it too, then actually we are decieving our ‘self’ or God. It is strange that we have firmer belief on animals and nature than ourselves!

People in some part of India, when hear a dog crying, they can predict that someone nearby it is about to die because they believe that a dog cannot be decieved of. There are so many such belief that most of the people, who belong to a society or country, trust as true.

Using this story it can be understood easily,

A new person in a city/country was travelling from a railway station, in a horse driven cart,  to his friend’s house, to whom he came to meet for first time since he moved here.

There was a bee contineously making round around the head of the Horse, ans sometimes around the head of the passenger.

The passenger got annoyed with this strange behaviour of the bee. So he asked the coah driver whether he can recognise this bee or not? He replied that the bee is called as Horsebee and it makes round around the head of any horse or any of the species similr to Horse like Donkey, Zebra etc.

Surprised by the answer he asked the coach driver, challanging him about his belief, about himself “Whether i am like an Horse? The coach driver replied in negative. Then he asked “Whether i am looking like a Zebra? Agin the reply was in negative.

Felling confident about his perceptin and proving wrong the belief of the other, he asked the coach driver again, “It means i am a donkey? The coah driver, by bringing to halt the cart, glanced him top to bottom, and said “No, not at all, but sir you cannot decieve a Horsebee.”

By not getting involved in a little effort daily so as to realise our ‘self’ or dropping our ego, what we are doing is far greater sin, is by deceiving ourselves or God.

There are many ways suggested by sages of different time and places to drop this ego. Osho gave 112 types of meditation and then there is a general type applicable to all acts. It is about bringing totality, i e getting involved totally in each part of any one activity, initially, and not thinking anything about past or future or reward etc in those moments of activity. After sometime this habit will automatically spread itself to each of your activity.

It may be making love, as Osho suggested, it is the first experience of egolessness by two persons at perticular moment after attaining puberty.

A person can attaing same experience alone, in any activity through witnessing awareness. This is knowing or realising your ‘self’. Transformation happens immediately. As soon as it happens by seeing, fear of death falls just like a burning matchstick falls from your hands on reaching tip of your fingers holding it. Have faith in your religion first of all. Understand it with totality and be true to yourself.

Awareness meditation is the way worked for me, may be you too find it suitable otherwise Dynamic meditation is for most of the people. There are 110 other meditation techniques discovered by Indian Mystic Gorakhnath about 500years before and further modified by Osho that one can experiment and the suitable one could be practiced in routine life.

Osho International Online (OIO) provides facility to learn these from your home,

This is an opportunity for learning and knowing Osho through these sannyasins who lived in his presence and brought to life his words in best possible quality in all formats.

Disciples of Jesus left him alone in last minutes but Osho’s disciples remained with him till he left his body willingly after working, till last day, for all of us to get enlightened. Jesus tried hard till last minute, before being caught, to teach meditation to his disciples. As per Saint John’s Gospel:- Jesus used word ‘Sit’ to transfer his meditative energy to them and went on to pray God, but on returning he found them sleeping. He tried two times again but in vain.

Even today Zen people use word ‘Sit’ for meditation in their saying ‘Sit silently, do nothing, season comes and the grass grows by itself green’.
