Mystic Rose meditation discovered by Osho at the fag end of his life. In a sense this meditation is going to fulfil requirement of future generations, now called GenZ.

Osho described meditation as rose during his talks on Chinese scripture The secret of Golden flower. As below:-


Naturally. If you are preparing a rose garden you have to change the whole soil. Stones have to be removed, old roots have to be removed, weeds have to be removed. You have to create a right condition and a right space, protected. You have to make a fence around it. When you are going to cultivate roses all these preparations will be needed. Meditation is a rose, the greatest rose, the rose of human consciousness. That’s why this book is called THE SECRET OF THE GOLDEN FLOWER… a golden rose. – Osho, The secret of secrets, Vol 2, Chapter #

Mystic Rose : The Master’s Gift.

Mystic Rose;- A 21 day meditation course discovered by Osho and executed first time in history of mankind under guidance of his disciple Leela Itzler.

It’s designed to bring your inner child on the surface that is hiding deep inside due to conditioning and guilt by the society during our upbringing. It is a necessary evil, so there is no need to have any enmity with anyone or any religion for it. It is our responsibility to erase its footprints from our inner world so that the natural being or heart could sit on driving seat.

In our spiritual journey inwards every decision needed to be taken from our heart because mind I always creates barrier for it. In childhood we have lived life taking decision from our heart. So this Mystic Rose meditation is a must and first step towards inner journey for really thirsty seekers.

It is described in detail by Leela Itzler herself on her FB page, And the lines below are exactly the words of Osho!

Satge 1, First seven days For three hours continuously with only few minutes break for toilet etc.

Laugh till it takes your breath away

till you become just the flow of energy pouring in

through the Hara of Life Source

till you see how absurd seriousness is

until you feel the childlike happiness returning

bringing the freedom and release of the insights

flowing, body rolling, arms flung wide

expansion, joy, delight fills your being.

Stage 2. For next seven days for 3 hours continuously without taking any break except for toilet etc.

Cry with abandon, hot tears flowing down your face

till all those dusty rooms of sad memory have been entered

sob with knowing that this is so overdue

all that unfinished business, hurt and pain

cry it out in freedom and a knowing

that this is the healer, the cleansing you have been longing for

cry till the barrel is empty and a lightness and joy

return to remind you that this is what was so needed

Stage 3. For next seven days. For three hours follow the instructions as below for three hours without a break except for toilet.

Now, relax into silence, the work is done

falling ever deeper into emptiness

breath guides you in and softens the way

heart beat and melting as slowly the mind retires

deeper and deeper to that which is

all we have come here to simply be.


Continue this for 21 days without taking a break of even one day in between! And your inner child will start taking decision! You may like to watch a film ‘Jab we met’ in Hindi to understand how taking decisions from heart could help in growing your inner world as well as material world too!

On disciples request Osho has reduced time to one hour per day for them, but I am of opinion that for GenZ and future generations 3 hours is right duration. So I have mentioned only that duration which Osho decided originally.

Sharing from my experiences:-

Awareness Meditation is the way worked for me and I tried it first during brushing my teeth in the morning after trying 8-10 meditations over period of 15 years! So there is no need to reinvent the circle for you. May be you too find it suitable otherwise with Dynamic meditation and/or Kundalini in the evening it is suitable for most of the people. There are 110 other meditation techniques discovered by Indian Mystic Gorakhnath about 500years before and further modified by Osho for contemporary people that one can experiment and the suitable one could be practiced in routine life.

Osho practically demonstrated Awareness meditation by consciously taking toothpaste on the toothbrush. I learned it and practiced for 20+ years in my life. It is miraculous.
